The present proceeding was initiated in the year 2020. The proceedings are pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 11th Court, Calcutta. It has been brought to the notice of the court that in spite of the case being pending for the last three years, the examination under Section 251 of the Code of Criminal Procedure could not be completed till date.

Having regard to the time period which has elapsed in the meantime, I direct that the learned trial court should ensure that the examination under Section 251 of the Code of Criminal Procedure is completed on the next date or within a week thereafter. The learned trial court thereafter would fix one date in a month for the purposes of Complaint Case No. CNS 568 of 2020 so that the trial can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. No unnecessary adjournments should be granted to either of the parties. All efforts be taken by the stakeholders to cooperate with the trial court so that the trial is concluded at the earliest possible time.

With the aforesaid observations, the present revisional application being CRR 2851 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of. All concerned parties are to act in terms of a copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court.
