Petitioner is directed to serve a copy of the revisional application upon Mr. Rudradipta Nandy, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State. His appointment may be regularized by the concerned Authorities in due course.

The petitioner is in custody since 19th August, 2022. Chargesheet has also been submitted and according to the learned advocate next date has been fixed on 5th September, 2023 for consideration of charges. The learned trial court if after consideration of charges is of the opinion that the trial of the case should proceed, in that case the learned trial court would fix a schedule of three dates and such schedule be fixed once in every three months so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. It has been reported that out of 11 witnesses, two witnesses are only independent witnesses. In case, the witness belonging to

the government department do not appear, the learned trial court will intimate the Superintendent of Police of the concerned District so that steps are taken for ensuring the appearance of the witnesses. The Public Prosecutor appearing in the case would produce the materials, documents and exhibits on the dates fixed for examination of the witnesses concerned. All efforts be taken by the stake-holders to cooperate with the trial court so that the trial is concluded within a reasonable period of time. With the aforesaid observations, the present revisional application being CRR 2855 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of.
