Mr. Samrat Pal ... for the State - Respondent(s) Re The petitioners are aggrieved by the fact that inspite of the earlier directions having been passed, the police authorities presently are not complying with the same.

The petitioners have prayed for removal of hoarding which have been placed before the premises at Raja Rajendra Lal Mitra Road, Kolkata 700085, Ward No. 35.

The enclosure to the writ petition reflects that earlier representations were submitted on 11.05.2023 and 19.06.2024.

Having considered the representations which have been submitted and, according to the learned advocate for the State, much time has passed since directions were passed, I direct that, in case, fresh representation is submitted before the concerned police station, the police authorities would adhere to the directions passed in WPA 22521 of 2022 wherein the Co-ordinate Bench by its order dated 28.11.2022 granted liberty to Beleghata police Station to remove any hoarding. It is also directed that such removal of hoarding can be made, if there is existence of any hoarding.

Accordingly, an enquiry be conducted. If there is no hoarding, the Officer-in-charge of Beleghata Police Station will communicate the same to the Deputy Commissioner (ESD) regarding nonexistence of any hoarding or, in the alternative, steps be taken according to the order dated 28.11.2022.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 18204 of 2025 is disposed of.

Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of.
