The State of West Bengal and others Mr. Prasenjit Debnath .... for the petitioners Mr. Sudipta Panda, Mr. Subrata Ghosh .... for the State Mr. Mihir Kundu .... for the WBSEDCL Affidavit-of-service filed in court today be kept on record.

Learned counsel for the petitioners contends that when the petitioners tried to raise constructions on the petitioners' own property, the electric line to the petitioners' premises has become a hindrance in such constructions. Accordingly, the petitioners have duly applied before the Distribution Company for taking adequate steps to remove and reconnect such supply over an alternative pathway.

Thereafter, the Distribution Company officials have already held inspection, however, it has been comminuted by the Distribution Company that certain objections have been raised from some quarters to such alteration of pathway.

Learned counsel appearing for the Distribution Company corroborates such submissions.

In such view of the matter, WPA No.19446 of 2021 is disposed of by directing the respondent no.3 to dispose of the disputes raised in respect of the petitioners' prayer for altering the pathway of their electric connection at the premises-in-question within four weeks from the date of communication of this order to the respondent no.3.

The petitioners shall serve a copy of the writ petition, along with a server copy of this order, on the respondent no.3 for the latter to take expeditious steps in disposal of the issue.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
