Mr. Anike Mitra ...... for the State We have considered the materials on record prima facie disclosing involvement of the petitioner in subjecting the housewife to torture which compelled her to commit suicide within one year of marriage.

In view of the aforesaid incriminating materials and gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected at this stage.
