The petitioner alleges that the police authorities have failed and neglected to take steps on the basis of the complaint lodged by the petitioner. Although an FIR was registered being Basirhat Police Station Case No.790 of 2021 dated September 11, under Sections 341/354A/506/509/34 of the Indian Penal Code, no steps were taken by the police authorities thereafter. It is further alleged that the miscreants continued to harass the petitioner and create disturbances.

The police authorities have submitted before the Court that the investigation has been completed and a charge-sheet has been filed against the FIR named accused persons, bearing No.824 of 2021 dated September 30, 2021 under Sections341/354A/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code. It is further submitted by the police authorities that the matter is now pending trial.

Under such circumstances, the grievance of the petitioner has been addressed by the police authorities.

However, the police authorities shall keep a vigil in and around the locality, so that no further untoward incident takes place.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. However, there will be no order as to costs.

All the parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
