Petitioner is aggrieved by the excesses inflicted by the private respondents and to that effect, in spite of informing the police authorities, no steps were taken.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner draws the attention of the Court to the information furnished with the Inspector-in-Charge, Mogra Police Station as well as the SDPO, Hooghly Rural, Arambagh.

State has submitted a report which reflects that there is a long standing dispute between the petitioner and the private respondents who are well acquainted with each other. At least the police report reflects that the dispute started between the petitioner and the private respondents with a case under Sections 504/506 of the Indian Penal Code in the year 2022. Presently in the year 2025, there are two cases. One is Mogra Police Station Case No.

229 of 2025 which was initiated at the behest of the petitioner against the private respondents and another is Mogra Police Station Case No. 230 of 2025 which was initiated at the behest of wife of the private respondent no.7 against the present petitioner. In both the cases, charge-sheets have been submitted by the police authorities. A civil case is also pending.

So far as the issue relating to threats is concerned, I am of the opinion that the same is in between two acquainted persons/families. Police authorities have drawn up proceedings under Section 126 of BNSS. Police authorities would keep surveillance.

Petitioner if, he faces inconveniences so far as carrying on business is concerned, petitioner will complain to the police authorities. Police authorities would ascertain regarding the genuinity of the allegations and thereafter take steps in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 18405 of 2025 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
