09.08.2023 sdas rejected C.R.M.(DB) No. 3078 of 2023 In Re:- An application for bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Ranaghat Police Station Case No. 251 of 2023 dated 28.04.2023 under Sections 341/326/307 of the Indian Penal Code.

And In Re : Bappa Durlav .... petitioner Mr. Sumanta Das ....for the petitioner Ms. Anasuya Sinha Mr. Pinak Kumar Mitra ...... for the State Supplementary affidavit enclosing medical papers is placed on record.

From the medical papers it appears that petitioner is a drug addict and he has no mental abnormality. He had assaulted the victim on a vital part of the body. Keeping in mind the aforesaid facts and gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. The application for bail is, thus, rejected.
