1. The petitioners are the parents of the victim.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the victim committed suicide and they have been falsely implicated. It is further submitted that the husband of the victim was arrested and thereafter enlarged on bail by the Additional Sessions Judge, Rampurhat, Birbhum on 19th July, 2024.
3. Learned counsel for the State in opposing the prayer for anticipatory bail has referred to the statement of the parents of the deceased and the neighbours to show that husband and his family members physically and mentally tortured the victim and demanded dowry.
4. Considering the materials available in the case diary and having regard to the fact that the victim died after four months of her marriage with the son of the petitioners due to physical and mental torture demanding dowry and there are incriminating materials against the petitioners, as revealed from the case diary, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
5. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioners is rejected and the same is accordingly disposed of.
