Since the petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of C.S. 113477 of 2016 pending before the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, 14th Court, Calcutta, presently redesignated as the learned Judicial Magistrate, 14th Court, Calcutta, the matter may be taken up for consideration without service of notice upon the opposite parties. The opposite parties shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case.

It appears that the case is pending since 2016 and several dates have been fixed for execution return of warrant of arrest issued against the accused/opposite party.

In view of the above, the learned trial Court is directed to take necessary steps for securing the attendance of the accused before him and endeavour to dispose of the case as expeditiously as possible, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law.

CRR 3164 of 2024 is disposed of.
