Bidyut Kumar Das v. D.M. Kanwar
07-09-2022 Item no.17 Subrata Bhattacharyya
IN THE HIGH COURT AT CALCUTTA
Special Jurisdiction Appellate Side CPAN No.1631 of 2001 Bidyut Kumar Das -vsD.M. Kanwar & Anr.
arising out of WPA No.17387 of 2000 None ...for the petitioner None represents the petitioner on call.
This is a contempt application under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 as well as under Article 215 of the Constitution of India filed on December 10, 2001 seeking punishment of the contemners/the respondents in the writ petition for violation of an order dated November 7, 2000 passed in WP No.17387(W) of 2000.
I find that since filing of the application, none moved to press this contempt application.
Considering all aspects of the matter, I feel that the petitioner is no longer interested to proceed with the application on hand.
Accordingly, the contempt application stands dismissed for non-appearance of the petitioner. [Rabindranath Samanta, J]
