He prays for bail. Learned Counsel appearing for the State opposes prayer for bail and submits trial is at its fag end. Arguments are being advanced before the trial court.
We have considered materials on record. Arguments are being advanced before the trial court. Under such circumstances and in view of gravity of the offence involving gang rape, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
The application for bail is, thus, rejected.
Trial court is directed to conclude the trial and deliver judgement expeditiously preferably within a period of two months from the date of closure of arguments by the parties. Copy of the order be transmitted to the trial court for necessary compliance.
