The State of West Bengal Adv. Tapan Dutta Gupta, Adv. Parvej Anam, for the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though the petitioner filed an application before the learned trial Court for pleading guilty in the matter on 27th July, 2024, the application is yet to be considered by the learned Court.

Since the petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of the application, the matter may be disposed of without service of notice upon the opposite party. The opposite party shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case. It appears that the matter was taken up for consideration of charge by the learned trial Court on 27th July, 2024 and the petitioner pleaded guilty before the learned Court on that date. He also filed the application on the same date.

Learned trial Court is directed to dispose of the application filed by the petitioners within thirty days from the date of communication of the order, in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid directions, CRR 3171 of 2024 is disposed of. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of all requisite formalities. (Suvra Ghosh, J.)
