The petitioner prays for implementation of the order of demolition passed by the Hooghly-Chinsurah Municipality.
From the documents annexed to the writ petition it appears that the Hooghly-Chinsurah Municipality requested the Inspector-in-Charge, Chinsurah Police Station for deployment of sufficient police personnel at the time of implementing the order of demolition. The order of demolition has, allegedly, not been implemented till date.
None represents the respondents.
The Hooghly-Chinsurah Municipality ought to take prompt necessary steps for implementing its own order. The Municipality is, accordingly, directed to take immediate steps for implementation of the order of demolition in accordance with law at the earliest but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order.
The Inspector-in-Charge, Chinsurah Police Station is directed to render all necessary help and assistance to the men and agents of the Municipality at the time of implementation of the order of demolition.
The writ petition stands disposed of.
Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
