Records reflect that petitioner was aggrieved as the Officer-in-Charge, Gopal Nagar Police Station did not respond to the information furnished on 11.07.2024. Petitioner has prayed before this Court for initiation of criminal proceedings.

Learned advocate for the State is present.

Having considered the fact that substantial time has passed since the information was furnished to the Officer-in-Charge as well as the Superintendent of Police, I am of the view that in case petitioner is aggrieved, petitioner will approach the jurisdictional Magistrate under the relevant provisions of law. Learned Magistrate would assess and ascertain the genuinity of the allegations and pass directions as he deems fit and proper.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 19234 of 2024 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
