Petitioners claim to be the recorded owners of the plot in question and submits that the plot was acquired by the State respondents for the purpose of construction of embankment of Aila affected area of the Sundarbans. No compensation has been paid to the petitioners in this regard. The petitioners submitted representations before the authority ventilating their grievance which have not been considered till date. The petitioners pray for a direction upon the authority to consider the representations at the earliest.

It is submitted on behalf of the State respondents that the 4th respondent be directed to consider the representations in accordance with law.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 4th respondent to consider and dispose of the representations submitted by the petitioners dated 1st October, 2018 and 27th July, 2022 respectively within two months from the date of communication of this order after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the

interested parties including the petitioners, in accordance with law.

The decision taken by the authority shall be communicated to the petitioners within a week thereof. With the above directions, WPA 18802 of 2022 is disposed of. There shall however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to be admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties upon compliance of necessary formalities.
