Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is the owner of the land in question. The private respondents had been disturbing the possession of the petitioner and trying to prevent him from entering into such land and cultivate it. Despite bringing it to the notice of the police, no action was taken.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State relies on a report, which is taken on record and submits as follows. The respondents against whom the petitioner made such allegations are aged about 81 years old, 87 years and 65 years old, respectively. A thorough enquiry was done by the police authorities and the allegations were found to be false. However, the police have kept a sharp vigil in the locality. I have heard the submissions of the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the parties and have perused the writ petition and the report filed by the State.

It appears that pursuant to the complaint filed by the petitioner, an enquiry was made by the police authorities and the allegations could not be substantiated.

Therefore, no further order need be passed in this case. However, the respondent police authorities shall maintain a strict vigil at the locale and ensure that no breach of peace takes place and no order of any civil Court is violated. With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order may be supplied to the parties expeditiously, if applied for. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
