Mr. Sabyasachi Chatterjee, Mr. Sayan Banerjee, Ms. Suparna Dutta ...for the Petitioner Mr. Somnnath Ganguly, Ms. Rituparna Banerjee ...for the State 02-08-2024 AKG Ct. 15 The petitioner challenges a transfer order dated July 24, 2024, issued by the Executive Officer, Purulia Zilla Parishad, transferring the petitioner from Manihara Gram Panchayat to Durku Gram Panchayat.

In view of the stance taken by the State before this Court, I am not inclined to delve into the merit of the challenge.

The petitioner submits that she intends to be transferred at Babugram Gram Panchayat under Raghunathpur-I Block instead of Durku Gram Panchayat. Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that if the petitioner makes a representation before the Executive Officer, Purulia Zilla Parishad seeking such a transfer, the same shall be considered.

In that view of the matter, I dispose of this writ petition giving liberty upon the petitioner to make a representation before the Executive Officer, Purulia Zilla

Parishad by August 10, 2024. In the representation, the petitioner must mention her present residential address. If such representation is made, the Executive Officer, Purulia Zilla Parishad shall consider the same within seven days thereafter in accordance with law.

Till such consideration, the impugned order of transfer shall not be given any effect to.

WPA 19041 of 2024 is disposed of.
