Having considered the materials on record prima facie disclosing involvement of the petitioner and co-accused in assaulting the victim who suffered grievous fracture wounds, we are of the opinion that in view of the gravity of the offence this is not a fit case to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner stands rejected.
