The representation filed by the petitioners, being aggrieved by the act of the Howrah Municipal Corporation, to take steps for construction of a garbage vat in front of their premises, is pending consideration. Learned advocate for the Howrah Municipal Corporation submits that steps shall be taken for consideration of the said representation.

The present writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of by directing the Commissioner, Howrah Municipal Corporation or his delegate to consider the representation filed by the petitioners in July 2021 in accordance with law at the earliest, but positively within a period of ten weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

An opportunity of hearing may be given to the petitioners and all other necessary parties prior to taking a decision in the matter.

reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the parties immediately thereafter. Learned advocate for the petitioners is directed to forward a copy of the representation dated July 13, 2021 to the aforesaid respondent at the time of communication of this order.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
