The petitioner was the Assistant Headmistress of Canning Dwarikanath Balika Vidyalaya, District - 24 Parganas (South) and she retired from her said service on superannuation on March 31, 2007. There was delay in disbursement of her retiral benefits.

The petitioner is praying interest on her said retiral benefits for the delayed payment.

The representation of the petitioner dated August 08, 2022 praying such interest, appearing at Page 13 of the writ petition being Annexure - 'P3' is pending before the Director of Pension, Provident Fund and Group Insurance, Government of West Bengal, the respondent no. 2 herein. The said representation deserves consideration. The respondent no. 2, therefore, is directed to dispose of the said representation in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

W.P.A. 18819 of 2022 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.
