The petitioner's representation seeking removal of unauthorised occupants from Government land, who are blocking the ingress and egress to the petitioner's property, is pending consideration for a considerable period of time.

Without going into the merit of the allegation of the petitioner, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the District Magistrate and Collector, Murshidabad to take necessary steps to consider and dispose of the representation filed by the petitioner in accordance with law after giving reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the parties and by passing a reasoned order at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

3. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
