It is submitted on behalf of the alleged contemnor that by a letter dated 22nd November, 2022, steps are being taken in accordance with law to comply with the order dated 11th August, 2021. In fact, the Assistant Engineer, Kakdwip N.H. Sub Division, P.W. (Roads) has categorically sought for a joint field verification to ensure current status of NH land encroachment in front of land of the petitioner, namely, Uttam Kumar Maity as early as possible.

In view of the aforesaid, the contempt petition being C.P.A.N.956 of 2021 is disposed of by directing the respondent/contemnors to act in accordance with law and in terms of the letter dated 22nd November, 2022 as expeditiously as possible.

Liberty is granted to the petitioner to approach this Court if the circumstances so warrant.

Urgent certified photostat copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties as expeditiously as possible on compliance of all necessary formalities. (Ravi Krishan Kapur, J.)
