learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the suit is pending from the year 2020 and issues have been framed only on the last date. He further submits that the husband/petitioner is regularly paying the alimony to the wife/opposite party.

In the light of the submissions made by the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner, CO 2717 of 2024 stands disposed of by requesting the learned Additional District Judge, 13th Court at Alipore to take up the hearing of Matrimonial Suit No. 2506 of 2020 if the same is otherwise ready for

hearing and to make an endeavour to see that the same is disposed of as expeditiously as possible, subject to the business of the learned trial judge, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, provided the husband/petitioner is not in default in payment of alimony pendente lite.
