On the file being sent by the department, this matter was placed in the list. It is running in the list for several weeks and has been called on from time to time.

No one has ever responded when the matter has been called on. The matter, therefor, was placed in the list with the note "First Chance". No one responded even at this stage. Then the matter appeared in the list marked as "Last Chance". Despite being called on several times when the matter appeared in the list marked as "Last Chance", no one appeared.

It appears that the writ petition has been filed by the nominee of a LIC policy. The policy was made in the name of the wife and after her death, the petitioner, being the husband, has claimed the compensation.

It further appears that with the passage of time the writ petition has become infructuous and as

such, the petitioner is not interested to prosecute the matter.

The same is accordingly disposed of without any order.
