Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner has filed the instant application being CAN 1 of 2020 for correction of an order passed by Hon'ble Justice Protik Prakash Banerjee (as His Lordship then was) on 14th February, 2020.

Counsel submits that the first line of the order should read as "In this petition under Article 227...... challenged an order dated 08.07.2019 passed by the Learned 5th Civil Judge (Jr. Division) at Alipore........." Although the prayer seems innocuous, it is strange that the petitioner chose to file the application seven month after the order was passed by the learned Judge. However, in the interest of justice, the application for correction is allowed.
