Since the petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of ST Case No.133 of 2019 pending before the learned Additional Sessions Judge, 5th Court, Howrah the matter may be considered without service of notice upon the opposite parties.

The opposite parties shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case. It appears that charge sheet was submitted on 17th November, 2018 and the learned Trial Court framed charge on 17th August, 2022.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the de facto complainant appeared before the learned Trial Court for being examined as charge sheeted witness no.1 only on one occasion and thereafter there has been no progress in the trial.

In view of the above, the learned Trial Court is directed to conclude the trial within one year from the next

date fixed before him without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law.

The revisional application being CRR 3186 of 2024 is disposed of.

Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
