1. By this writ petition the petitioner seeks for a direction upon the 3rd respondent, namely, the University of Burdwan to conduct Entrance Examination for admission to the 5-year BA, LLB Course.

2. On an earlier occasion this court had dealt with an identical issue and had passed an order in WPA(P) 152 of 2023 dated 17.04.2023.

In the said order the submission made on behalf of the respondent University was noted wherein they have undertaken that they will revert back to the original procedure of conducting Entrance Examination for admission for the 5-year BA, LLB Course from the academic session commencing from 2024. The

petitioner has annexed the notification dated 30.06.2023 which is for the academic session 2023-28.

4. The leaned advocate appearing for the 3rd respondent, namely, the University of Burdwan has produced a copy of the notification dated 14th August, 2023, which reads as follows:

"From: The Registrar, Date: 14-08-2023 The University of Burdwan.

To: Mr. N.C. Bihani, Ld. Advocate, High Court at Calcutta, Kolkata - 700001.

Re: W.P.A.(P) 415 of 2023 Mir Md Minhaj Vs.

State of West Bengal Sir, In reference with the aforementioned matter read with Admission Notification bearing No.UG/5-yr.LLB. Admn.(2023-24)/58 dated 30.06.2023 of this University, this is to inform you that, in compliance with the order of the Hon'ble Division Bench of Calcutta High Court dated 17.04.2023 passed in W.P.A.(P) 152 of 2023, this University will conduct Entrance Examination for admission to the 5 year B.A. LL.B. course for the academic session commencing from the year 2024.

This may kindly be treated as an undertaking on behalf of this respondent University.

5. Therefore, the petitioner need not have any apprehension and the 3rd respondent/University shall abide by the orders passed in the earlier writ petition.

6. With the above observations, the writ petition stands disposed of.
