According to the instruction received by the police authorities from the Kolkata Municipal Corporation, the premises where the alleged repairing work is being carried on by the petitioner, is a Grade - I Heritage Building.

The police authorities have categorically submitted that they have not interfered with the repairing work, and deny the allegations of the petitioner.

Thus, nothing remains to be decided in the writ petition. The petitioner themselves approached the police station.

If the Kolkata Municipal Corporation approaches the police authorities in future, about the alleged illegal construction, in that event, the police authorities shall be at liberty to take appropriate steps. This order shall not be constructed as a

decision on the nature of the construction that is going on.

The writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Parties are to act on the server copy of this order.
