1. None appears on behalf of the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited.

2. Mr. Asif Dewan, learned Advocate who is appearing in a connected matter, is requested to enter appearance in this matter. His appointment be regularised.

3. The petitioner is aggrieved by a consumption bill amounting to Rs.95,690/- which was charged by the Station Manager, Kandra Customer Care Centre towards consumption charges in respect of an STW connection.

4. Mr. Dewan submits that at present the dues are Rs.1,06,371/-.

5. As this is a billing dispute, the petitioner's remedy would be before the Regional Grievance Redressal Officer. Accordingly, the petitioner is granted liberty to approach the said officer in accordance with law. The concerned Regional Grievance Redressal Officer shall decide the matter within a period of two months from the date of receipt of the petitioner's representation, upon granting opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as also a representative of the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited.

6. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner.

7. The writ petition is, thus, disposed of.

8. There shall be no order as to costs.

9. Parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
