Heard learned counsel for the parties.

From the injury report, it is found that two persons have been injured and they were discharged on the same day after treatment. The occurrence which has been alleged to have occurred was in course of a free fight between two political groups.

The injuries as revealed from the case diary are not on the vital part of the body. Regard been had to the facts and submissions, the nature of allegation, nature of injury as discussed above and substantial progress in investigation, we are of the view that custodial interrogation of the petitioners is not necessary.

Accordingly, we direct that in the event of arrest, the petitioners, namely, Tapas Ranjit @ Joga, Suresh Kala, Shyam Sundar Kala @ Ranga, Ranajit Ranjit, Pranab Signed By :

Mondal, Tapas Bhuina @ Tapas Kumar Bhuina, Achintya Mali, Sanjay Mali, Swapan Mali, Arjun Bera, Tapan Ranjit, Krishnendu Ranjit, Gautam Mali, Uttam Mali, Ashok Mali, Samir Ranjit, Manas Bera and Gurupada Ranjit respectively shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- each, with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and also subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, corresponding to Section 482(2) of the BNSS, 2023.

The petitioners shall meet the Investigating Officer (IO) once in a week till submission of the final report and shall not leave the District Purba Medinipur without the permission of the IO till the submission of the final report. 6.

It is further directed that the present accused petitioners shall appear before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Contai, Purba Medinipur within two weeks from date and pray for regular bail.

Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is disposed of.
