The matter is taken up for consideration in terms of the order dated August 6, 2024, when Ms. Manosi Choudhury, Headmistress of Gourhati Durgadas Balika Vidyalaya, District-Hooghly is personally present in Court. The Headmistress of the aforesaid school appears in person and submits that the school authority has re-fixed the pay of the petitioner in postgraduate scale of pay pursuant to the order of the Commissioner of School Education, Government of West Bengal dated 6th January, 2022 and pay fixation papers have already been submitted to the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), Hooghly for taking necessary steps.

During course of hearing, copies of papers have been made over to Mr. Biswabrata Basu Mallick, learned Additional Government Pleader representing the State respondents.

In view of the steps taken by the respondent no.6, the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), Hooghly, being the respondent no.3, is directed to take

necessary steps for re-fixation of the pay of the petitioner and forward the papers relating to refixation of the pay of the petitioner to the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), Purba Burdwan, being the respondent no.4, by fortnight from date. On receipt of papers by the respondent no.4, the same shall be forwarded to the Headmaster of Memari V.M.

Institution, District -Purba Burdwan, being the respondent no.5, by fortnight thereafter. Based on refixation of pay made by the concerned Respondent Authorities in terms of the order of the Commissioner of School Education dated 6th January, 2022, pay of the petitioner shall be fixed accordingly in postgraduate scale of pay with retrospective effect. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. The personal appearance of the respondent no.6 stands dispensed with.

There shall be no order as to costs.

The order dated 6.8.2024 needs correction as rightly pointed out by Mr. Ghosh, learned Advocate, representing the petitioner. In the 2nd page of the said order dated 6.8.2024, in last paragraph, 5th line, inadvertently the time was mentioned as "10.30 P.M." instead of "10.30 A.M.". The time fixed by the Court in terms of the order dated 6.8.2024 shall be read as "10.30 A.M.".

Department is directed to incorporate necessary correction in the order dated 6.8.2024.
