Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that, the petitioner lodged complaint with the police disclosing commission of cognizable offence. Learned advocate appearing for the State, on the basis of written instructions, submits that, the police registered the complaint as first information report and that the investigation is under progress. The written instructions submitted on behalf of the State be taken on record.

Since the investigation is continuing since 2019, it would be appropriate to direct the police to conclude the investigation as expeditiously as possible and file

appropriate report before the jurisdictional court within a period of eight weeks from date.

W.P.A. No.17490 of 2019 is disposed of, accordingly.
