Petitioner renews the prayer for bail. It is submitted that he is in custody for about ten years.

We have considered the materials on record. There are sufficient materials connecting the petitioner with the alleged crime. Allegations are very grave. Mentally retarded women and children kept in the Non-Government Organisation had been murdered. Petitioner was the driver of the vehicle from where the bodies of two of the victims were recovered. Trial has substantially progressed and 45 witnesses have already been examined and nine are to be examined as yet.

In view of the aforesaid facts and as prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected earlier, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

Trial Court is directed to conduct the trial expeditiously and conclude the same at an early date preferably within one year from the next date of recording evidence without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

C.R.M. 8180 of 2021 is, thus, dismissed.
