1. Heard learned lawyers for both the parties.

2. We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner is the principal assailant. He does not stand on the same footing with coaccused who are on bail. Keeping in mind the principal role played by the petitioner and gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to him.
