Petitioners allege that the police authorities have affixed a padlock and not allowing the petitioners to carry on their business, as such, stern steps should be taken against the police authorities. State has submitted a report. Report reflects that repeatedly the Inspector of Drugs, District Drugs Control Office, Murshidabad had been visiting the said shop for inspection. Petitioners' shop was closed and no inspection could be conducted on repeated dates, as such, a "Stop Sale Notice" has been affixed on "SAE Medical".

In view of the Inspector of Drugs, District Drugs Control Office, Murshidabad not having access

to the shop, I am of the view that there has been no interference by the police authorities. Petitioners would be at liberty to approach the Inspector of Drugs who would first inspect the shop thereafter on the basis of the report of the Inspector of Drugs, further steps be taken by the administration.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 18353 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report submitted by the State be kept with the record.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
