Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits that the petitioner is challenging a selection process initiated by the College without giving required advertisement in newspapers.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent College relies on the resolution dated 01.08.2024 and submits that the erstwhile Principal had initiated the process. But, only a date for interview was fixed. The College is not proceeding with the exercise because there was violation of certain norms in the said process. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent no.7 submits that he had only received an interview letter

from the college authorities.

As the College has decided not to proceed with the selection process due to some defects in the same, the petitioner's grievance stands redressed.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of without any further order, even as to costs. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
