The writ petitioner complains of inaction on the part of the Serampore Police Station into an FIR being No.33 of 2021. It is also submitted that since after registration of the FIR, the private respondent-accused, has been threatening the petitioner.

The private respondent is represented. All the allegations made against the private respondent are vehemently denied. It is submitted that the accused is cooperating and willing to cooperate in every possible way in the investigation.

Mr.

Jishnu Chowdhury, learned Advocate appearing for the State submits that the investigation has progressed substantially. It is also submitted that the investigation is likely to be completed very soon. It is ordered that the investigation into the subject

FIR be completed as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of four weeks from date mandatorily and positively and a final report be submitted to the jurisdictional Magistrate.

The private respondent-accused shall cooperate with the investigation as assured by his learned Advocate, Mr. Raja Basu Chowdhury.

The Officer-in-Charge of Chanditala Police Station shall forthwith attend to any further complaint from the writ petitioner of any threat or intimidation by the private respondent.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
