In view of the above, this Court is inclined to hold that allowing the proceeding to continue shall only be a futile exercise. G.R. case no. 1117 of 2022 pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bidhannagar be quashed. The petitioner be set at liberty at once and discharged from their bail bonds.
