Mr. Datta, learned advocate representing State respondents has filed a report of the District Inspector of Schools (SE), Malda dated
28th August, 2024 and the same is taken on record.
It is stated in the said report and also contended by the learned advocate representing State respondents that it is not within the domain of the concerned District Inspector of Schools to change marital status of the petitioner and particulars of a teaching staff are maintained based on information given by the respective school authority. It is also submitted that the concerned District Inspector of Schools has not changed marital status of the petitioner. Mr. Lahiri, learned advocate representing Rahutara St. Thomas High School has placed before this Court a modified i-OS.MS containing details of the petitioner wherefrom it appears that under the heading 'Personal Details' marital status of petitioner has been shown as 'Married'. Copy of i-OS.MS is kept with the record.
Mr. Jha, learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that grievance of the petitioner stands redressed in view of the steps taken by the said school authority.
Having considered the submissions made on behalf of the petitioner and taking note of the steps taken by the concerned school authority
as well as the contents of the report of the concerned District Inspector of Schools dated 28th August, 2024, the writ petition stands disposed of without passing further order.
There shall be, however, no order as to costs.
Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertakings.
