Mr. Kalyan Kumar Panda ..... for the petitioner Mrs. Anwari Quraishi Mrs. Zainab Tahur ........for the State The petitioner claims to be the widowed daughter of Court No. 24 22.04.2022 (Item No. 254) (AB) a deceased Primary School Teacher. The father of the petitioner retired from service on 30th November, 1987 and died on 4th January, 1992. The mother of the petitioner received family pension and she expired on 15th November, 1997. The husband of the petitioner expired on 5th February, 2007.

According to the petitioner she applied pursuant to the scheme floated by the Government in the year 2008. Pension Payment Order was issued in favour of the petitioner on 23rd November, 2020 and arrear family pension was paid on 17th December, 2020.

The petitioner claims interest on account of delayed payment of the family pension.

There is nothing on record to show as to when the petitioner applied for obtaining the family pension. The pension payment order which has been issued mentions that she was given family pension with effect from 10th

January, 2008. As the petitioner is unable to show the date as to when the petitioner applied for family pension, no order can be passed for grant of interest on account of the delayed payment of family pension.

The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. Urgent certified photo copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
