Case No. 187 of 2022. It is submitted that the grievance of the petitioner primarily pertains to correction of the Record of Rights.

On behalf of the State-respondent, it is submitted that the writ petition is misconceived and not maintainable. The petitioner has an efficacious alternative remedy available and there is a bar under Section 2(r) of the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955.

In view of the efficacious alternative statutory remedy of appeal available against the order dated July 29, 2022, this petition is not maintainable.

There are no grounds which warrants exercising jurisdiction in this proceeding.

WPA 19007 of 2022 stands dismissed on the ground of maintainability.

The petitioner is at liberty to approach the alternative forum, if so advised, in accordance with law.
