The petitioner is a Group - D Staff at Maharaja Cossimbazar Polytechnic Institute, District - Kolkata.

The District Inspector of Schools (SE), Kolkata, the respondent no. 2 herein by his order dated January 30, 2023 has allowed the prayer of the petitioner for benefits of 18 years' continuous service.

The petitioner is now praying that the said 18 years' service benefits be taken into account to re-fix his scale of pay and arrear salary to be accrued to him on such re-fixation be released. The petitioner is granted liberty to file a comprehensive representation praying such relief before the respondent no. 2 through the school authority.

The respondent no. 2, on receipt of such representation shall dispose it of in accordance with law, if necessary, after giving the petitioner an opportunity of hearing as expeditiously as possible. W.P.A. 18649 of 2023 is disposed with the above terms without any order as to costs.

Since no affidavit has been invited, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have denied by the respondents. Parties to act on the server copy of this order downloaded from the official website of this Court.
