Mr. Asit Baran Raut Ms. Ishita Raut Mr. Nazrul M. Z. Hasan ...for the petitioner Mr. Ratul Biswas ...for the Council In this matter the petitioner claims for a job as her father expired in 2015. At that point of time, the petitioner was 12 years of age.

According to the DCRB Scheme, the application has to be done within two years from the death of the person for which event the compassionate appointment is being claimed. As the petitioner was of 12 years of age, she attained majority after six years i.e. in 2021.

Now, by a Special Bench judgement of this court, this two years time period as has been fixed as unchangeable and it cannot be diluted, therefore, I do not find any merit in this writ application as to the application for compassionate appointment which was filed after six years from the death of the father of the petitioner.

Therefore, this writ application is dismissed. (Abhijit Gangopadhyay, J.)
