The petitioners contested the Panchayat General Elections, 2023. Allegation is that the petitioners were threatened on the day of the poll.

The petitioners lodged complaint before the Returning Officer.

The petitioners pray for a direction upon the respondent authorities to issue the winning certificate in their favour.

The result of the election was declared on July 11, 2023.

None of the petitioners appears to have won the election, accordingly, the question of issuance of the certificate of election in their favour does not arise.

The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
