Mr. Anjan Bhattacharya ..for the petitioner Mr. Victor Chatterjee ..for the University The petitioner is an Assistant Professor of Agronomy (Stage-III) at the University of Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan. The petitioner is challenging the communication of the Secretary of the University, respondent no.4 herein dated April 25, 2022 whereby the prayer of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Associate Professor (Stage-IV) has been rejected.

Mr. Victor Chatterjee, learned advocate for the University submits that the regular vice-chancellor of the University has joined and it has been decided that the University shall reconsider the prayer of the petitioner. In view of such stand of the University, the impugned communication is set aside.

The University is directed to reconsider the prayer of the petitioner in accordance with law.

WPA 19430 of 2024 is thus disposed of without any order as to costs.
