In view of the above, this Court is inclined to hold that allowing the proceeding to continue shall be a futile exercise. The revisional application being CRR 3218 of 2024 is allowed.

G.R. case no. 2733 of 2023 pending before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Barasat be quashed. The petitioners be set at liberty at once and discharged from their bail bonds at once.

CRAN 1 of 2024 is disposed of.
