Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner purchased the land in question in 2015 from the private respondents and the private respondents again sold the same property to a third party. The petitioner approached the local police for registration of an FIR, but the same was not done.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State relies on the report and submits that a specific FIR being Kulti Police Station Case No.425 of 2023 dated 08.08.2023 under Sections 406, 417 and 420 of the Penal Code was registered. The same is being investigated.

Since the prime grievance of the petitioner about police inaction acted in registering an FIR has already been redressed, no further order need be passed in this case.

Let the investigating officer investigate into the alleged offences expeditiously and in accordance with law. The local police authorities shall keep a sharp vigil at the locale so that no breach of peace takes place. With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order may be supplied to the parties expeditiously, if applied for. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
