The only relief prayed for by the petitioner, who retired as a librarian from the concerned rural library on 30th April, 2000 is that the arrear retirement dues of the petitioner may be paid and disbursement without any further delay. The District Library Officer is represented and learned counsel hands up the revised pension payment order issued by the Director of Pension, Provident Fund and Group Insurance to the concerned Treasury Officer on 11th January, 2022.

The State is represented.

Upon considering the relevant documents, this Court deems it fit to direct the Treasury Officer being the respondent No. 6 to calculate the arrear retirement dues of the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order and disburse the same to the petitioner in accordance with the revised PPO within a period of two weeks thereafter. Since the petitioner retired in 2000 and 21 years have already gone since then, there should not be any further delay on the part of the concerned respondents. The petitioner shall be at liberty to inform the Court if there is any delay on the part of the any respondents to this petition. WPA 19856 of 2021 is disposed of in terms of the above order.
