And In Re: Arman Sekh ... ... Petitioner Mr. Soumik Ganguli Mr. Diptendu Banerjee Mr. Sourat Nandy ... ... for the petitioner Mr. Ranabir Roy Chowdhury Mr. Mainak Gupta ... ... for the State It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that no narcotics was recovered from his possession. Accordingly, he prays for bail. Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits initially 21.5 kgs. of Ganja was recovered from co-accused. Petitioner had fled from the spot. Upon his apprehension and on his leading statement, another consignment of 6.5 kgs. of Ganja was recovered from the residence of another co-accused. We have considered the materials on record. We are unable to accept the contention of the petitioner that he is not involved in narcotics trade. On his leading statement, 6.5 kgs. of Ganja was recovered. Recovery from the co-accused is to the tune of 21.5 kgs. of Ganja. In view of the aforesaid incriminating materials, we are of the opinion petitioner is involved in the transaction of narcotics and this is not a fit case to grant bail to him.
The application for bail is thus rejected.
